Surah Mulk: Surah al Mulk (the chapter of Kingdome) is the 67th Surah of the Quran.
The Surah has 30 verses and 2 Ruku’ats. Surah al-Mulk is a Makki surah, which means that the surah was revealed in the period before the migration to Medina.
Regarding the content of Surah Al-Mulk, the Surah speaks of the greatness of Allah Almighty with examples of the vast universe that is His creation.
The Surah then speaks of Almighty Allah and threatens the unbelievers with punishment in the next life.
Surah al Mulk Hadith
Many hadiths have been narrated by the Holy Prophet peace be upon him that talk about the virtues and benefits of Surah Al-Mulk.
According to the hadith narrated by Imam Abu Dawud and Imam Tirmizi, Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Holy Prophet peace be upon him, “There is a Sura (chapter) in the Quran which has thirty verses. This man But will interfere until he is forgiven.
Surah Tabarak is Allaazi biyadihi al-mulk, i.e., “Blessed is He in whose hand is the royal family.” As declared in the hadith, the Surah will continue to intercede on the Day of Judgment on the person who recites it in his life.
Therefore, we must include reading in our daily routine. Another tradition encourages Muslims to recite Surah Waqiya and Surah Mulk before sleeping.
We have to listen to our children (who do not yet know how to recite it) when we recite Surah Mulk.
الله الرحمن الرحيم تبرك الذي بيده الملك وهو على كل شيء قديره الذي خلق
الموت والحيوة ليبلوكم أيكم أحسن عملاء وهو العزيز الغفور الذي خلق سبع سموت طباقا ما ترى في خلق الرحمن من تفوت فارجع البصر هل ترى من فطورت ثم ارجع البصر كرتين ينقلب إليك البصر خاسئا
وهوحسيره ولقد زينا السماء الدنيا بمصابيح وجعلتها رجومًا للشيطين وأعتدنا لهم
عذاب الشعيره وللذين كفروا بربهم عذاب جهنم وبئس المصيره إذا ألقوا فيها سمعوا لها شهيقا وهي تفورة تكاد تميز من الغيظ
كما ألقى فيها فوج سألهم خزنتها الم يأتكم نذيره قالوابلى قد جاءنا نذيرة فكذبنا
وقلنا ما نزل الله من شيء إن أنتم إلا في ضلل كبيره وقالوا لوكنا نسمع أو نعقل ما
كتاف أصحب الشعيره فاعترفوا بذنبهم فسحقا لاصحب الشعيرة إن الذين يخشون
ربهم بالغيب لهم مغفرة وأجركبيره واسروا قولكم او اجهروا به انه عليم بذات الصدوره
الايعلم من خلق – وهو اللطيف الخبير هو الذي جعل لكم الأرض ذلولا فامشوا في مناكبها أم أمنتم من في الشتاء أن يرسل عليكم خاصا
وكلوا من تفرقه وإليه النشوره وأمنتم من في الشتاء أن يخسف بهم الأرض فإذا هي تموري
حاصباء فستعلمون كيف نذيره ولقد كذب الذين من قبلهم فكيف كان تكيره أولم يروا إلى الطير فوقهم صفت ويقبضن ما ينيكهن إلا الرحمن إنه بكل شيء بصيرت أمن هذا الذي هوجند لكم ينصركم من دون الرحمن إن الكفرون إلا في غروين أمن هذا الذي يرفقكم إن أمسك
رشقه بل لجوا في عتق ونفوس أفمن يمشي مكبا على وجهه أهدى آمن يمشي
سويا على صراط مستقيم قل هو الذي أنشأكم وجعل لكم السمع والأبصار والأفدة قليلا ما تشكرون وقل هوالذي ذراكم في الأرض وإليه تحشرون ويقولون منى هذا الوعد إن كنتم صدقينقل
إنما العلم عند الله وإنا آنا نذيرميين فلما راوه زلف سيئت وجوه الذين كفروا
وقيل هذا الذي كنتم به تتغونقل اريتم إن أهلكني الله ومن معي أو رحمنا -فمن يجير الكفرين من عذاب أليم قل هو الرحمن امثابه وعليه توكلنا فستعلمون
من هو في ضلل مبينقل أرءيتم إن أصبح ماؤكم غورا فمن يأتيكم بماء معين ۵۲ م الله الرحمن الرحيم ن والقلم وما يسطرون ما أنت بنعمة ربك بمجنون ن وان لك لاجرا غير ممنونو إنك لعلى خلق عظيم فستبصر ويبصرون
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1. تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
2. الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ
3. الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا ۖ مَا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنْ تَفَاوُتٍ ۖ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِنْ فُطُورٍ
4. ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنْقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ
5. وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِلشَّيَاطِينِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ
6. وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
7. إِذَا أُلْقُوا فِيهَا سَمِعُوا لَهَا شَهِيقًا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ
8. تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۖ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ
9. قَالُوا بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَاءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ كَبِيرٍ
10. وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ
11. فَاعْتَرَفُوا بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسُحْقًا لِأَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ
12. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ
13. وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
14. أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ
15. هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ ذَلُولًا فَامْشُوا فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا مِنْ رِزْقِهِ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
16. أَأَمِنْتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَنْ يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ
17. أَمْ أَمِنْتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَنْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ
18. وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
19. أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّاتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا الرَّحْمَٰنُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَصِيرٌ
20. أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي هُوَ جُنْدٌ لَكُمْ يَنْصُرُكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ إِنِ الْكَافِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ
21. أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهُ ۚ بَلْ لَجُّوا فِي عُتُوٍّ وَنُفُورٍ
22. أَفَمَنْ يَمْشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَىٰ أَمَّنْ يَمْشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
23. قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۖ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ
24. قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
25. وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
26. قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ
27. فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِيئَتْ وُجُوهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَدَّعُونَ
28. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِيَ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ مَعِيَ أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَنْ يُجِيرُ الْكَافِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
29. قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ آمَنَّا بِهِ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
30. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَاؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا فَمَنْ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِمَاءٍ مَعِينٍ
Surah Mulk Translation in English
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
- Blessed is he in whose (powerful) hands is the kingdom (of all the worlds). And He has complete authority over everything;
- Who created death and life (so that) He may test you as to who among you is best in conduct. And He is Almighty, Most Forgiving;
- He who has created seven (or innumerable) heavenly spheres corresponding to each other (layer after layer). You will not find any irregularity or inconsistency in the creation system of the Most Merciful (God). So (carefully and thoughtfully) look around: Do you see any inconsistency or disharmony (i.e., degradation or brokenness) in this (creation)?
- Look around (curiously) again and again (from different angles and in a scientific manner). Each time your vision will return tired and disappointed (looking for some flaw or imperfection).
- And of course, We have decorated the lowest heaven of the universe with light (in the form of stars, planets, other asteroids and meteorites). And We have also created (some of them) a means to drive away the devils (i.e. rebellious forces) (i.e. eliminate their negative influences). And We have prepared for them (the devils) the punishment of the blazing fire.
- Those who reject their Lord (and the Cherisher) have the punishment of Hell and evil (such) is the destination.
- When they are put into it, they will hear the (terrible) sound of its flaming breath,
- Almost seething with anger: every time a group was put in there, its keepers would ask, “Didn’t any Warner come to you?”
- They will say: “Yes indeed; A warner came to us, but we rejected him and said, ‘Allah has never sent any (message): you are nothing but a grave illusion!”
- They will further say: “If we had listened or used our wisdom, we should not (now) be among the companions of the blazing fire!”
- Then they will confess their sins, but will stay away from the companions of the Blazing Fire (Forgiveness)!
- And for those who fear their Lord, there is forgiveness and a great reward.
- And whether you hide your words or reveal them, He certainly has (complete) knowledge of the secrets of (everyone’s) hearts.
- Should he not know, – He created? And he is the one who understands (and is well acquainted with) the finest secrets.
- It is He who has made the earth manageable for you, so wander about its paths and enjoy the sustenance it provides, But resurrection is for him.
- Are you sure that He who is in heaven will not swallow you when the earth shakes (like an earthquake)?
- Or are you sure that He who is in heaven will not send upon you a fierce storm (with a shower of stones), so that you may know how (terrible) was my warning?
