Anchoring Script for Independence Day

In today’s session, you will learn how you can write anchoring scripts for Independence Day celebrations in some schools, clubs, or other organizations.

Welcome speech

The welcome speech is an essential part of any anchoring script. But when it comes to writing anchoring scripts for some Independence Day celebrations, there are several things that need to be considered. Being an issue of national pride, Independence Day is associated with the sentiments of many people. That is why care should be taken in starting your anchoring welcome speech at any Independence Day celebration.

Furthermore, different organizations require different types of welcome speeches. You can start your welcome speech with some popular and relevant quotes. Below, I will mention demo speeches for some types of popular institutes.

For Educational Institutions

Good morning to our respected Principal Sir/Ma’am, all the teachers, non-teaching staff, and our students. Today is a day that even the meanest person will remember without fail. Today is the 15th of August. Today is not just a date marked in red in our calendar as Independence Day. In fact, it is too much.

This is the day when the dreams of our brave patriots and nationalists were fulfilled. His dream of independent India. Constitution worth calling our own. My. yours. Our. None are foreigners. No more binding. There will be no more prisons and torture. There will be no more beatings and insensitive firing in broad daylight. But only enjoy the freedom.

We have gathered because we are enjoying the happiness we got in return for 200 years of carnage. Today we also bow to the countless, nameless souls who have bravely laid down their lives for our motherland. We salute him and say in unison, Vande Mataram!

For Local Clubs

Good morning everyone from (club name). Today the sun is very strong. But not without reason. It’s sunny after a long, long cloudless century. Rather the inhuman colonial rule over Indians for two centuries clouded the Indian sky.

It may be that some people in the country have instigated it. Today as we celebrate our Independence Day, we are not only proudly declaring ourselves free but also giving a mighty slap on the face of some of the traitors who are intrinsically responsible for our unfair bondage.

we won. We have fought, shed blood in every possible way, endured all the tortures they put us through, and finally, we won. Our Gandhi, our Nehru, our Bhagat Singh, and our leaders have been successful. Let us pray for the sacrifices they made and in return for which we are free today. Let us say in our harsh voice, Bharat Mata ki Jai!

For NGOs

Very good morning to our honorable chief guest (his name), our coordinating head (his name), our colleagues, and everyone present here today. Happy Independence Day to all of you. Saying this reminds me of my grandfather, from whom I learned many untold truths about the British rule over our country.

I remember shuddering and often weeping at the senseless tortures and sufferings, the plague, the distress, the hunger and the death of millions of citizens who had really done no harm to anyone. And realized how terrifying it had become for them to find their sons and daughters out of homes where only police forces were waiting to hunt down those who were fighting for the freedom of our country.

Our history books have always told of giants, and have fossilized countless unknown men and women whose bosom yearned to break the chains of the motherland. This freedom is not the dream of one Nehru or Netaji or Gandhiji but of thousands and thousands of such Mahatmas. We bow reverently and observe a minute’s silence for their brave souls. I would urge all of you to stand up.

Flag Hoisting

Now I will request our principal sir/ma’am/honorable guest to come forward and hoist our national flag, our identity and let it soar the highest above all. Let us pay our tributes to our brave people and those foreigners who have loved our country just like their own.

After flag hoisting (Educational Institutions)

Now I will request our principal sir/ma’am (his/her name) to share with our students the necessity of observing today as neatly as any religious festival. Over to you sir/ma’am.

After flag hoisting (for NGO and local clubs)

Now I will request our honorable/chief guest to come upon the stage and share with us how memorable is this day for him/her and how he/she feels rooted more deeply every time the national anthem is heard or our national flag is hoisted. The stage is all yours.

Principal’s Speech (Educational institution)

Good morning to all who have gathered here today and are not sitting comfortably at home thinking that today is just like any other Sunday. Today is indeed the most special day because it is related to our identity. What I am trying to tell you all is especially for our young generation because they are most gullible.

They can be destroyed by misleading them. Today you can look modern, updated, social, and independent whenever you go out. You all are free citizens of India today even without earning a single penny. How? This has become possible because some people with courageous hearts have decided to jump into this ocean of life and bring freedom to their mothers.

They have forgotten whether they are Hindu or Muslim or Christian. They have forgotten whether they ate rice or roti or idli. They have forgotten their language and all are chanting together, Vande Mataram. This was his strength. An impulse of his feelings. And remember kids, he didn’t have Facebook or WhatsApp to make himself popular. They became special and immortal by shedding their blood, distancing themselves from their homes, and serving the world.

Do you think it was ever easy for the police to chase them like wolves? never. And so today we can criticize the system even with all the facilities. You are the future of a country that has decided that slavery and servitude will not be accepted but will continue to rebel till the sun rises.

We are the descendants of Mahatma. We can all be Mahatmas. And for this, you need courage and faith in yourself. That is all. I am sure that you all will break the shackles of corruption that India is facing today. You can be that soul to take away this pain of the motherland. Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is achieved. Thank you.

Chief Guest’s Speech (for NGO/Local clubs)

Good morning to all. It is always a great honor to share the stage on such an important day. Before reaching here, I was only remembering the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Such a waste of humanity! But something else really impresses me. India is a land of unity in diversity and this diversity is evident in the freedom struggle as well.

You will see that on the one hand, we have Gandhiji’s non-violence and Satyagraha.

On the other hand, we have the Swadeshi Movement, the Boycott Movement, and the rebellions of Surya Sen, Binoy-Badal-Dinesh, Matangini Hazra, and Netaji. Both are different in nature and implementation, yet both are necessary. No one is responsible for freedom. This balance of war and peace fascinates me. It’s just mind-boggling.

The looting of gun and ammunition factories was similar to the fasting observed by the people. Our nation’s independence really teaches us this important point of balance. India is everyone’s country. We can never deny the assimilation of many cultures and beliefs here. India is a melting pot. You all are aware of many things. But today I want to remind you of this tolerance of different ways of India. So let us be his true children. thank you so much.

Song Performance

To pay our homage to the patriots let us now listen to a beautiful song that is to be performed by the students of our school/ Children of this area. After the song performance, That was really heart-touching. Something rings that chord within our hearts and takes us back to our roots.

Fashion Show/Go-as-you-like (Educational Institutions)

Independence Day is the moment to instill national sentiments and respect for our countrymen in children. So, like every year, we have an event of go-as-you-like where little children participated, dressed in several important figures of history. Let us call them up on the stage with applause.

After fashion show

That was so beautiful to see the young generation participate with such enthusiasm and confidence. Their faithful presentation is really praiseworthy.
