Every year, candidates seeking to work as teachers in the public sector must pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), which is held twice at the national level.
The CBSE now offers the CTET Exam in an online format. The CTET Exam, now in its sixteenth edition, is used to determine whether candidates are qualified to become teachers.
Candidates who want to advance their careers in the teaching field for elementary and upper primary classes must pass the CTET Exam.
Candidates can apply for numerous openings in various government and government-aided schools based on their CTET Exam results.

CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2023
The question paper will be contained MCQ questions and will be divided into 02 papers, Paper 1 & Paper 2 and Paper 1 will be for those candidates who are applying for the Primary Teacher & Paper 2 for the Upper Primary Teacher with a time duration of two hours and thirty minutes and exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs), The question paper will available in Hindi and English language.

CTET 2022 Application Fee
If applying for either Paper I or Paper II, a candidate from the General or OBC category must pay Rs. 1000 and Rs. 1200. (if applying for both papers).
For applicants in the SC/ST category, the same fee is reduced to Rs. 600/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 600/- (if applying for both papers).

CTET 2023 New Eligibility Criteria
For candidates pursuing Teacher Training Courses, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has published a notification outlining the updated CTET eligibility requirements (TTC).
Candidates who are enrolled in teacher training programs are eligible to apply for the CTET Exam, according to the notification.
Before submitting their online CTET application, candidates must first review the CTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria.
The eligibility requirements for the Primary and Upper Primary level CTET exams are mentioned below.
To qualify as a first-stage teacher, applicants must have at least a 10+2 grade point average of 50%.
Candidates must successfully complete their 10+2 or degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 50% overall marks.
The qualifying marks for candidates from reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled, will be relaxed by up to 5%.
Candidates who are enrolled in their final year of a bachelor’s degree in education, an elementary education diploma, etc., are admitted proviso.
Their certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations, before the declaration of Exam result
CTET 2023 Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be chosen based on how well they did on the CTET Online Exam.
As the CTET is merely an eligibility test, passing it does not guarantee job placement for applicants.
They must submit applications for employment at various schools depending on the positions that are open and require CTET Certification, for which candidates must receive more than 60% of the possible points in order to be chosen.
