Banking Exam Syllabus

Knowing the Bank exam syllabus is the preliminary step before beginning the bank exam preparations. The officials of the bank exam do not roll out the bank exam syllabus formally instead maintain a standard format in order to test your knowledge. The Bank exam syllabus includes 4 defined subjects – English Language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.

The selection of bank exams is done on the basis of written tests conducted in two different phases which are prelims and mains. The bank syllabus for prelims and mains exam slightly varies from each other. The preliminary phase is qualifying in nature and selection is majorly based on the marks obtained in the mains examination including interview marks if any.

As we know there are 3 major institutions conducting the bank exam in the country for the posts of PO/Clerk/SO on a regular basis which are as follows:

  • State Bank of India (SBI)
  • Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
  • Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)

Thus, candidates preparing for any bank exams must be well versed with the bank exam syllabus for PO, Clerk and SO posts which have been discussed here.
